estefany, like epiphany.
Estefany Molina is a Latin American post-documentary photographer and multimedia artist based on the North Fork. With a cultivated instinct and a distinctive blend of culture, heritage, and a lyrical eye, she explores what it means to belong—traversing origins and deep roots in pursuit of the broader human quest for identity. Her work captures images that are shaped by feeling, intuition, and a connection to subject matter, echoing the rhythms of personal and cultural evolution.
She has spent the last five years developing nightswimming, a photographic body of work recently adapted into a multi-sensory installation displayed at Matchbook Distilling Co.
Professional background: In 2010, Estefany completed a year-long internship with the lead creative strategist at Next New Networks, a pioneering online video start-up acquired by Google and evolved into YouTube’s Creative Lab in Chelsea. She gained invaluable experience and a taste for fig newtons. In 2013, she graduated with a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts, and in 2014, she was published in AI-AP’s Latin American Fotografia annual. Her work has since appeared in publications such as Edible East End and Fast Company.
She is a member of the Penumbra Foundation and on the Advisory Board of the North Fork Arts Center.
